Uses of benzene
- As an industrial solvent for fats and oils, rubber, resins etc.
- As a starting material for dyes, drugs, perfumes and explosives and polymers
- For dry-cleaning of woollen clothes.
- As a motor fuel along with petrol, under the name benzol.
